Reiki is two Japanese words — REI and KI. REI is the universal energy that is all around us and KI is the energy that is channelled through our bodies. It is a healing energy and the beautiful cosmic rays of Reiki gently ease emotional, physical, mental or spiritual problems.WHAT DOES REIKI DO?
Reiki rebalances, relaxes, energises, heals and flows to all levels of the body and aura, to wherever it is needed. Reiki will only flow if the person receiving wants it.
Reiki can change your life for the better and it is completely non-denominational. Having Reiki may subtly change your attitudes and increase your positivity.
Reiki can be directed or can be allowed to flow wherever it is needed. It can be used across time and distance. It can be beamed at situations such as road accidents or through the walls at noisy neighbours and to calm disruptive classes.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF RECEIVING REIKI?
Receiving Reiki is receiving the universal energy of pure LOVE and uses rays of silver, gold, white, violet and rainbow colours.
Reiki can be given to babies to calm and heal, in pregnancy to relax and keep both mother and baby healthy and balanced, to the elderly to gently heal and relax, to ease worries and to become more spiritual, to the dying to ease their passing and to help their pain, for injuries and after operations, for the healthy to give a boost, for pets and plants.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Treatments are given fully clothed in a warm, comfortable environment with gentle, relaxing music.
Expect to drift off to sleep or become completely relaxed and on finishing, find yourself feeling relaxed yet refreshed. You may find pains have reduced or moved. Reiki works on subtle levels so do not expect a miracle after one treatment. Miracles do happen but usually you need three to seven sessions to start with.
Physical problems often manifest two or three years after emotional or mental traumas. They work their way through the auric layers and end up as physical problems.
Reiki heals gently through the layers, releasing emotions to heal.
You may find that tears, anger or giggling occur, but these are just emotions coming to the surface to be released.
CAN I BECOME A REIKI HEALER?
Yes, you can. Reiki is a beautiful gift to have and to give. I will teach those who want to do Reiki for the best reasons. If your only reason for learning Reiki is to make money then please do not ask me to teach you. If your desire to learn Reiki is to help yourself and others with love, then you are most welcome. We obviously have to charge because like everyone we have to live, but I do many Reiki shares and Reiki swaps, as an energy exchange.
Being attuned to Reiki will enhance any other healing you do, as it will with any other therapy. Reiki often flows when you start to massage or do reflexology or Indian head massage. If you have never done any healing before you may notice a big difference in yourself as your vibration changes. With each level your vibration increases as it leads you towards ascension. You can take each level for your own benefit in increasing your vibration as well as wanting to treat others with your higher vibration.
KARUNA REIKI
Karuna Reiki can only be given to those who have reached Master Level in Usui Reiki and it takes you even further. With each attunement your vibration increases and your body has to have time to adjust to it. Therefore it is wise to leave a gap between each level. Karuna Reiki has many different symbols that can be utilised during the healing.
The energy has been described as being different to Usui Reiki, in that if they were engines, Karuna feels more like a truck engine as compared to a car engine.
The clearing symbol is very powerful and I use it all the time for clearing negative energy from myself, from my therapy room and other areas such as my stand in a Mind Body Soul Fair. It is a very good grounding symbol for the client after a Reiki treatment.
Karuna Reiki attunements do not necessarily have to be used for healing. They can be used for self-development, to raise your vibration, as does any Reiki attunement. You can continue having attunements and you are shown how to attune yourself, so you can do it as many times as you wish.

ANGELIC REIKI
The founder of Angelic Reiki was Kevin Core, who is now in spirit, and this is a message from him.
I am honoured to be the channel of this Angelic Reiki system of Healing, which was passed on to me by Archangel Metatron from Oct 2002 to Feb 2003.
The Angels themselves do all the attunements in this system through the Angelic Kingdom of Light. Although symbols are given, it is not a requirement that the student memorise any of them. The Reiki symbols, and much more, are integrated into your energy body at the time of attunement. During the healing of a patient, the healer is simply a channel, a bridge, whereby the energy of the angelic Kingdom is passed to the patient. The healer does not have to worry that they have given the correct symbols or if they concentrated on the correct place for the healing. Every healing is perfect in its conception and transmission.
The Divine Vibration comes in on the Reiki symbols and attunes the healer and patient to their soul energy. The Angelic Vibration, which is an extension of the Godhead, makes this possible.
This in turn, raises their consciousness, and dislodges any old thought forms not in tune with the Divine Vibration and transmutes them to a higher vibration. This then has an effect on physical, emotional and mental conditions.
The healer also receives this energy, and it is therefore transformational for both healer and patient.

There are three venues for the local Reiki share groups, which are held on the third or fourth Wednesday of every month. Receiving Reiki is often the first step to learning to give Reiki.
TRADITIONAL USUI REIKI
The FIRST LEVEL is dedicated to healing yourself and others and gives you professional advice about being a practitioner.
The SECOND LEVEL allows you to use symbols and send distant Reiki through time and space and introduces you to Reiki techniques.
LEVEL THREE is the Healing Master and introduces more symbols and techniques.
LEVEL FOUR is the Master Teacher and enables you to teach others.

KARUNA REIKI
When you have reached Master Teacher Level you can then train in Karuna Reiki.
Karuna Reiki levels 1, 2 and the Master Level. Leave at least three weeks between each level for the physical body to adjust.
